Here at Physical Balance we feel that pain and injuries are about much more than just the physical symptom or the injured part of the body. It is our belief that every part of the body goes into creating something that’s painful, this includes mental wellbeing, our beliefs and our attitudes. We’ve seen a lot of people following the intense lockdown who are struggling to get better and achieve their goals as quickly as they would like and we think this is due not only to the physical stress of being stuck at home but also the mental stress. Its all about balancing the seesaw.
We have put together 3 tips to help your general wellbeing:
1. Exercising - We all know exercise is good for us physically but the effect it has on our mental health is invaluable. Exercise causes our brains to release dopamine which is the happy chemical.
2. Aches and Pains - Get those niggles attended to. Pain is a horrible thing, especially when it goes on for a long time. The good thing is it does not have to be that way, there are plenty of people out there who can help. Did you know people with chronic pain are more likely to suffer with depression.
3. Get outdoors – fresh air (no matter if its cold or warm) helps to increase vigor and if you combine it with an activity even better.
