About the Treatment
Acne Treament
Acne Treatment

LED light therapy is often used to treat acne and other skin blemishes. Blue light has antibacterial properties that can help kill the bacteria responsible for severe acne breakouts. It also helps regulate sebum production, reducing oiliness in the skin, and minimizing the occurrence of clogged pores.

Specifically with wavelengths of red and amber light, Phototherapy can help reduce redness and inflammation in the skin. It promotes blood circulation, which aids in calming irritation and soothing conditions like rosacea and sunburn. By reducing redness, LED light therapy can help achieve a more even and balanced skin tone.

Anti-Aging
Anti Aging

LED light therapy can help reduce the signs of aging by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins for maintaining the skin's elasticity and firmness. This can help minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin, resulting in a more youthful complexion.

By promoting overall skin rejuvenation, the skin's health and vitality is improved. It stimulates the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a molecule that provides energy for cellular processes, aiding in the regeneration and repair of damaged skin cells. This can result in improved texture, increased radiance, and a smoother complexion.

At your first treatment you will have the opportunity to discuss your skin concerns and run through your present skin routine.  Your therapist will then have a look and feel of your skin to ascertain the Demalux light programme that best suits your specific needs.  At this time, they will also be able to discuss and answer any questions about Environ, the clinical grade skincare products we use in clinic. She can also give advice regarding a homecare plan utilising their award winning cosmeceutical formulas, that may also benefit you personally in reaching your overall skin health goals.

The treatment commences with a micro-exfoliation and a cleansing procedure to prepare your skin. For your safety and comfort, you will be provided with eye protection and asked to lie down on a couch whilst the LED canopy is positioned over your face. Once your therapist has started your programme, she will leave you to unwind and relax for around 30 minutes. Your therapist will then re-join you, remove the canopy and end your treatment with an application of nourishing moisturiser and sunscreen.

If you choose to book a course of treatment (giving you a saving of £40), in subsequent sessions we will regularly check in on the progress of your skin and transition your programme accordingly.
